Eligibility Criteria

Whether you are an individual looking for help (or a case worker seeking help for a client) please check our criteria as listed below:

You are eligible to apply if you (your client) are:

• A Registered nurse - have undertaken a recognised training course leading to registration. We are able to assist Registered Nurses who have had a minimum of three years post registration service at any time in your career - you do not have to be currently nursing or on the effective register.
• A student nurse - in exceptional circumstances such as sudden ill health or in a crisis situation, however we cannot 'top up' nursing bursaries or pay for study fees.
• A Health Care Assistant (nursing auxiliary) - who has worked for at least five years in a hospital or in an area where you have been under the supervision of a registered nurse - such as with the Marie Curie Community Nursing Service, or in nursing homes. This service could be at any time in your career and you do not currently need to be employed as a nursing auxiliary.
• Have savings of less than £4,000
• You are receiving, or have applied for, any state benefits to which you may be entitled**.
